HIHARA Fumie (koto):
Having started playing the 'Koto', the classical japanese instrument since she was 9 years old. She also started playing another classical japanese instrument 'Shamisen', which is a kind of acoustic guitar, which has three strings only and sounds very dry, since she was 15 years old and got an instructor diploma with 17 years. In 1998, she graduated from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music. Since 2004 she has been travelling between France and Japan in order to play performances and compose new works. She is also collaborationg with many artists from dance companies, theatres, actors and other various types of artists.
and Ayaka Azechi (dance):
Ayaka Azechi was born 1983 in Tokyo Japan. She began learning dance from Miyako Kato at an early age and was part of the project of Miyako Kato in Brazil. From 2001 to 2002, she studied at the Asagaya College of Art and Design, where she choreographed her solo "Ashi" (Leg). She was a member of Kim Itoh + the Glorious Future from 2002 to 2005, during which she danced in all company productions. In 2006 she performed in Akira Kasai's "Fuyu no tabi" (Winter Journey). She enrolled in Kasai's butoh school from 2006 to 2007 and participated in the graduation performance in Japan. In 2007 she received the grant from the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists for 2008 to 2010. She appeared in the project "Continu" in Haus der Berliner Festspiele by Sasha Waltz (Nov. 2010).
