Flags with no meaning deals with the [im]possibility of separating state from symbol, territory from ground, and meaning from matter.
This one-day event is part of an ongoing project by Sonja Hornung to empty out the powerful symbol of the national flag, making it available for other uses.

Fahnen, die nichts bedeuten befasst sich mit der [Un]Möglichkeit, Staat vom Symbol, Territorium von Boden, und Bedeutung von Gegenstand trennen zu können.
Diese eintätige Veranstaltung ist teils eines fortlaufendes Projekts von Sonja Hornung, welchem das mächtige Symbol der Nationalflagge dekonstruiert wird. Dabei wird dieses Symbol für andere Zwecke freigestellt.
