| PICTURE BERLIN |
In collaboration with General Public, PICTURE BERLIN (www.pictureberlin.org)
- a hybrid residency / art academy in it’s second year, will be hosting a conversation between Berlin based German artist Joachim Schmid and New York based American artist Penelope Umbrico.
Mr. Schmid is one of the 5 curators of the Photography Festival in Arles and invited Ms. Umbrico to participate in the show this year. As a result, their conversation will explore the show in Arles, their common interests of the use of the internet in their work and their new books; respectively Mr. Schmid’s, L.A. Women and Ms. Umbrico’s, (photographs).
The conversation will be part of a series of lectures and discussions happening throughout the city during the month of July for PICTURE BERLIN.
